Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum Wayzgoose 2011

Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum
Wayzgoose 2011
November 4–6

Wayzgoose 2011 is coming, and we’re full up! If you’d like to be on a waiting list in the event of a cancellation you can email Jim Moran at jim.moran@woodtype.org

Throughout the day Friday, November 4th we’ll be hosting casual demonstrations as part of our open house. Paul Shaw, Stan Nelson, and our very own Mardell Doubek and Norb Brylski will be scribing, cutting and punching type while you tour the museum. Light appetizers and a cash bar will begin at 6pm. Tracy Honn of Silver Buckle Press gives our first presentation at 8pm.

On Saturday we’ll offer four rotating workshops during the day. Plan on getting messy with our hands-on sessions featuring the Hatch Brothers—Jim Sherraden and Brad Vetter, lettering whiz Paul Shaw and wood engraver Debra Mae Broad. Saturday evening dinner is served at the Lighthouse Inn followed by our illustrious type friends Stan Nelson and Matthew Carter giving the evening’s lecture.

Sunday morning Dave Peat will regale us with typographic tales and our annual print swap will follow. We wrap up around noon.
